IBPC offers Networking Platform to Indian Delegation 

Indian Business & Professional Network (IBPC) the apex body of Indian Businessmen and Professionals, functioning under the aegis of Embassy of India organized an interactive networking session with the members of the CII Delegation from India on 24th September at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

The networking event was a highly interactive and successful event with members of the CII Delegation encompassing a wide range of industries like manufacturing, engineering services, IT & software development, sports infrastructure, automation, energy, food processing, pharmaceuticals, sanitation, hardware manufacturing, and consultancy interacted with members of the IBPC to find prospective partners and develop future business prospects.

Mr. KM Varghese, the IBPC President, in his welcome address, briefed the visiting CII delegation about IBPC and its activities for increasing bilateral trade between India and Qatar and enumerated the business opportunities in Qatar.

H.E. Shri P. Kumaran, Ambassador of India to Qatar, shared the key economic figures of the Indian Economy and the various initiatives taken by the Government of India to develop key growth sectors in Indian industry, particularly the manufacturing sector. ” Indian companies would like to increase their participation in the extensive infrastructure development programme in Qatar as it prepares to host the prestigious FIFA World Cup in 2022″ said P Kumaran while acknowledging the competence of India’s corporate sector, offering attractive opportunities for cooperation.

Mr. P. Haridas, Director CII-Gulf & Middle East introduced the representatives of the companies in the delegation.

Mr. Joy Kunjukutty, the leader of the CII delegation, in his address talked about the various flagship initiatives of the Government of India for promoting manufacturing and other sectors in India and the role played by CII.

This was followed by an interactive Q&A session from the visiting delegation and member of IBPC.

The event was attended by Mr. Surendra Bhagat, the First Secretary, Indian Embassy and the Coordinating Officer for IBPC, the members of IBPC, Community leaders and guests and members of the management committee of IBPC Ms. Sujata Varma, Mr.Harish Kanjani, Mr. Waseem Shaikh and Mr. T.M.Kabeer who graced the occasion with their presence.

The event by moderated by Mr. Sumit Malhotra, General Secretary of IBPC.
