DOHA: The Indian Business & Professionals Council (IBPC), the apex body that brings together the Indian business and professionals community in Qatar, and functions under the aegis of the Embassy of India, has announced the launch of a directory of Indian Businessmen based in Qatar. The IBPC, which acts as a bridge between Indian and Qatari businesses, is the first time has embarked on such a unique initiative.
“Bringing out such a useful compendium of data with details of business persons and their business profile would be a remarkable force-multiplier for the activities of IBPC” added the Ambassador.
IBPC intends to bring out the first edition of this publication in the near future and distribute it to all those who seek information on Indian businessmen based in Qatar, their business activities and the products and services being offered.
“IBPC, established with the objective of helping Indian businessmen grow their business in terms of value and volume in Qatar, is coming up with this very useful repository of information which will facilitate networking and increased flow/exchange of information among the business community based in Qatar as well as for trade bodies in Qatar and India.” said Surinder Bhagat, the Commercial Representative at the Embassy of India, Doha, and Coordinating Officer for IBPC.
The directory will have two sections, one listing the Indian businessmen in alphabetical order and the second section with listing of the business category products and services etc.
“The directory would offer a wide range of information including telephone number, e-mail, website, of the person heading the business and that of the business category and products and services spread over the two sections” said Rajesh Nair, General Manager of Trans Media International WLL, a media agency based in Doha engaged by IBPC for executing this task.
