Indian embassy, Doha in coordination with Indian business & Professionals council organized an event “Tourism for All” on 24th October at Crowne Plaza hotel, in conjunction with supporting “Paryatan Parv” organized across the country by Ministry of tourism, Government of India. The objective being to draw focus on the benefits of tourism, showcase the cultural diversity of the country and reinforce the principle “Tourism for all” and to drive home the message to public and travel industry and hospitality industry.
In the event which took the format of brainstorming to invoke response and suggestions from the audience especially tour operators, travel agents and other related stakeholders in Qatar to share their experience and to find ways to overcome constraints and bottlenecks and increase the flow of visitors from Qatar to India.
hE Ambassador, chief guest of the event while offering existing statistics urged the related industries and stakeholders to encourage and attract tourists to visit from Qatar to India and increase the flow achieving an increased target by ….%. He also assured to take the suggestions put forward by the audience for the Ministry of external affairs in considering ease of visa procedures, online n digital marketing to promote, educate travel operators to offer tourism product n packages and aid with pertinent tools and measures for increasing tourists in the area of medical tourism especially wellness programs, Ayurveda n yoga life style therapies, islamic monuments, luxury train excursions and business travel.
The attendees from various business sectors and community leaders and prominent members engaged in the proceedings of brainstorming session with valued suggestions and ideas that need to be considered to greatly improve and increase tourism to India.
IBPC President KM Verghese while thanked the attendees for their active partici pation and coming forward with pertinent suggestions encouraged to send thru email to ibpc for summarizing and take to the attention of embassy.
CO, IBPCand first secretary Indian embassy Mr Surinder Bhagath added that the embassy and ibpc are open to receiving ideas and suggestions for improving flow of tourists from Qatar and take possible steps with the authorities concerned to aid travel industry and other related.
iBPC advisory council Chairman Mr MS Bukhari wrapped up the event emphasizing on individual efforts for the business houses working on the trusted principle of product, price, promotion, place and attract tourists to India from Qatar
